Tie me up, tie me down

Found My Animal ticks many boxes. This is a company that is socially aware, proud of using local labour and quality reclaimed materials, and grounded with a clear mission: ‘to raise public awareness of the urgent need for animal adoption’. To top it all, Found My Animal also donates part of their proceeds and time to animal-welfare organisations.

From rope leashes and leads to collars and harnesses, these accessories are beautifully designed, well considered in their simplicity, and with the honesty that good craftsmanship brings to the table. The rope is made from 100% recycled P.E.T bottles, hand-spliced and ‘whipped’ (an old nautical method of attaching clips securely, enough to withstand thousands of pounds of pull) by professional New England rope-makers to add strength and durability; all the leather is reclaimed (giving each piece its individuality) and the canvas is coated with animal safe wax. Furthermore, each collar includes a tag stamped with the number of animals that already have been found a home. Let’s keep on counting.
