PANTOFOLA

We want to do something different and respectful—to stay within the realm of understated refinements.

Erica Preo might be a So-Cal native, but it was her appreciation of Italy’s leatherwork that kicked off Pantofola. In Italian, the word means “slipper”, which was also the nickname of Preo’s adopted stray. Pantofola’s dog collars and leads are made in a factory in northern Italy, just a stone’s throw from Switzerland, where quality of life is balanced by excellent leatherwork. The brand’s Caramelle collar and lead in cielo (sky blue)—which Preo loves for the “very Italian charm, like a light blue cashmere sweater”—remain its most popular products.

Why we love Pantofola
Preo might be one person, but she makes a big mark (which you’d expect of someone who used to design for Pentagram). She creates beautiful products between two countries, and donates 20 per cent of sales to dog rescue charities every quarter.
