s READ MOREIf the name doesn’t steal your attention, the design of Bastards’ baller-looking dogwear certainly will. Chunky collars, mean leads and sleek bodysuits are what Bastards does best. Made for sighthounds but suitable for varied breeds, Bastards’ founders’ combined experience in fashion and industrial design to craft the ideal accessories for dogs who love a little adventure. Designed and made in Slovenia, Bastards’ bold pieces are informed by years of research and close observation of how sighthounds move (damn fast, often erratically, indefatigably etc). Noting that standard dogwear doesn’t fit these long boys where it should—i.e. cutting into their tender armpits, rubbing, hindering movement—Bastards set itself the task of reengineering the ideal accessories for high-energy hounds.
The result is a range of statement-making pieces that, against all odds, can make a whippet look like a dog you don’t want to mess with. Case in point, the Bastards Collar is crafted from strong and flexible cut black leather. Its beefy width is complemented by Bastards’ pièce de résistance: a GT Cobra® Buckle. “The safest, most finely crafted, and strongest load bearing buckles available anywhere” is what distinguishes Bastards in a busy marketplace of design-conscious dogwear. More robust than any other plastic hardware available, Bastards’ signature buckle prides itself on its quick-release mechanism and CobraⓇ D-Ring, designed to safely withstand even the strongest of pulls without compromising your dog’s comfort. Paired with Bastards Leash, you and doggo have yourselves an intimidatingly strong look. Made with Kevler rope (the same material as bullet-proof vests, if you were wondering), Bastards Leash is hectically strong (to say the least), with a KONG Frog aluminium clip designed for easy release that holds extra appeal for outdoor adventurers.
Built to do battle with any and all elements—and all while looking wildly cool—Bastards is for design-loving humans and animals with plenty of attitude.
