The first dog bed Hindquarters made was stitched on a home sewing machine and stuffed with old t-shirts. Since then, founders Alex Sullivan and Jeremy Cooper have expanded their product range to include bowls, leads, and collars, which are all made in factories and workshops in and around the UK. Their at-home family has expanded too; pups now outnumber people, five to two. The guys are proudest of their slot-and-lock collars, which combine quality metalwork with 100 per cent cotton and tick all the boxes: safe for dogs, easily adjustable, and machine-washable when mucky.
Why we love Hindquarters
The slot-and-lock collars are both clever feats of engineering and things of beauty. Even better, they’re sea-proof! The metalwork’s made from marine-grade stainless steel, and precision-cut by a small factory in Wales that also makes yacht fittings.
